Pfizer Live Mural, EULAR 2024
During June 2024, I flew out to Vienna, Austria, to do a live mural for Pfizer during EULAR 2024 (European Alliance of Associations for Rheumatology). A non-profit organisation, representing people with rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases, where thousands of health professionals, rheumatologists, researchers, and scientific societies across Europe come together for their annual congress.
Each two-sided panel told the story of a patient, under the characters of “Oscar” and “Carina”. A pastry chef and a florist, before being prescribed Xeljans, Pfizer’s product, the first FDA-approved pill of its kind that treats adults with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis.
The project required me to illustrate the story digitally, ahead of the first part of the trip to Germany, for 3 days of prep-work on the canvases, followed by 3 days of live muralling during the convention in Vienna.
